Intersection

This was a site specific response to an exclusive area of Nottingham. My collaborator, Lynn May and I became aware of notices everywhere that discouraged people away from the area. In this installation the viewer negotiated their way around a series of  street notices whilst also being aware of their reflection in the surrounding mirrors. By subtlety manipulating the words on some of the notices the work draws attention to the way that cities are sites of economic and political power networks.
